Chong Hua Hospital Celebrates Cancer Survivorship at the 8th Cebu Cancer Fair

United by Unique: Honoring Every Survivor’s Journey
Every cancer journey is unique. On August 29, 2026, those journeys came together under one roof as Chong Hua Hospital, through its Cancer Center and in partnership with the Philippine Society of Medical Oncology (PSMO), brought the 8th Cebu Cancer Fair at the Oakridge Pavilion, Oakridge Business Park, Mandaue City.

Survivors, patients, families, healthcare professionals, and cancer communities from across Cebu gathered for a full day dedicated to celebrating life beyond cancer.

Survivorship at the center
Under the theme “United by Unique,” this year’s Fair placed survivorship at the heart of the celebration—an affirmation that the cancer journey does not end when treatment does.

The day honored the resilience, hope, and strength of every survivor while underscoring a conviction Chong Hua Hospital holds firmly: that care, connection, and support must continue well beyond the treatment room.

Learning for the road ahead
The full-day program featured educational lectures on caring for the body’s vital organs—the liver, heart, and kidneys—equipping participants with practical guidance for protecting their health after cancer treatment.

Survivorship, after all, is not only about surviving; it is about living well.

A celebration of community
Guest performances filled the pavilion with energy, while booths from hospitals and organizations across Cebu showcased the breadth of support available to the region’s cancer community.

Participants and their families also enjoyed a full lineup of free activities—caricature sessions, self-care stations, a kids’ playground corner, and food booths—turning a day of learning into a day of joy.

A deepening commitment
The 8th Cebu Cancer Fair reflects Chong Hua Hospital’s growing commitment to survivorship care and to holistic support that reaches beyond conventional treatment. By bringing cancer communities and healthcare organizations together, the Fair created a space where survivors could connect, learn, celebrate, and draw strength from shared experience.

Through initiatives like the Cebu Cancer Fair, Chong Hua Hospital continues to champion a more comprehensive vision of cancer care—one that walks with patients not only through treatment, but through every step of survivorship and beyond.
