Chong Hua Hospital is looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated Senior Engineering Manager for Corporate Projects who is responsible for developing, planning, designing safe, sustainable, resilient, functional, effective, efficient, regulatory and environment compliant facilities of Chong Hua Hospital and its Corporate Properties.
The position is managing and leading multiple aspects of the project management and coordination including project design reviews, building code analysis and compliance, design and construction standard development, development of project scope and cost estimates, vendor reviews and selection process, budgetary oversight, timeline, construction, renovation, and installation processes, and obtaining necessary approvals.
This position’s main goal is to effectively manage the company’s infrastructure, space, assets to enhance efficiency and optimize asset value, customer satisfaction, revenue and, provide safe and conducive environment for the employees.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides strategic analysis of the assigned facilities development projects and develop creative recommendations to ensure functionality, comfort, safety, and efficiency of the built environment of the company facilities and properties.
Defines the organization charts, staffing and personnel roles with the appropriate engineering departments.
Defines provisional workforce histograms and controls the qualification of assigned project support personnel.
Defines the Contract details and ensures accuracy and conformity to the company standards and requirements and also participate in the vendor/contractor selection process.
Ensures the issue, the validation and the maintenance of the project equipment lists and /or other key engineering documents as applicable to each project.
Ensures effective interdisciplinary coordination through consistent and regular project meetings. Takes the necessary technical decisions in case of unresolved conflicts between disciplines. Controls that the engineering team properly interfaces with other project members;
Leads the project planning and ensures project milestones and requirements are achieved.
Ensures that engineering activity is compliant with project milestones. Alerts project management in case of unforeseen variation and suggest if needed mitigation measures.
Ensures effective technical coordination with Client’s representatives and as such participates in effective communication with Client.
Consolidates project budgets and manages the project cost during the project. Alerts the immediate head in case of variation and suggests if needed mitigation measures.
Manages the project design documentation and ensures all designs and drawings are compliant to regulatory agency requirements. Ensures proper maintenance and safekeeping of project files.
Maintains records of building transactions/activities; implements standards for the proper documentation.
Leads and attends the design and safety reviews and supervises the follow up of the outcomes.
Submits Project Update Reports regularly.
Manages the contract documentation by initiating, collecting, and consolidating the variation requests and change orders.
Participates in Risk management that affects the projects or as an impact to the projects.
Initiates Value engineering and best practices.
Qualifications
Graduate of any Engineering course preferably in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
With at least fifteen (15) years of related work experience in project engineering management, with at least five to six (5 to 6) years managerial role or equivalent.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks; results-oriented.
Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
Possesses leadership qualities to aid in building, maintaining, and elevating relationships with Chong Hua Hospital internal and external stakeholders and drive the achievement of business strategies and results.
Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in the Visayan dialect and/or Tagalog is required.
