Chong Hua Hospital is looking to hire an experienced and highly dynamic Security Officer who supervises the security team, monitors the day-to-day security operations and activities. S/He monitors and operates the CCTV surveillance system, including contact with investigation / emergency response teams as necessary. Ensures the cataloguing and review of video images for record or evidential purposes, and likewise ensures that all relevant information for the system is logged in accordance with the CCTV code of practice.

Additionally, s/he coordinates staff training activities; coordinates investigative activities; and performs other duties as assigned by the immediate superior.

Some tasks are to:

  • Provide a proactive CCTV monitoring service in CHH, whilst complying with all hospital, department, local regulatory protocols and standards.
  • Operate and monitor the CCTV equipment including the recording devices and video printing equipment, operating controls as necessary, in order to move camera position to cover full viewing range of cameras.
  • Carry out instructions in relation to incidents in line with set protocols.
  • Ensures accurate entries are made in all CCTV Monitoring Room documentation as instructed following established processes / procedures.
  • Reviews and copies CCTV images and exhibit them as evidence; coordinates investigation activities as needed.
  • Accurately maintains records of duties carried out in the CCTV control room to provide an evidential audit trail, prepares reports for the department as necessary.
  • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; submit written and verbal reports to senior officers / Department Head as necessary.
  • Gives guidance to assigned security / CCTV team in the procedures to be followed in line with the post; maintains liaison with facility administration, security officers/ manager / General Services AVP on security matters.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or requested by immediate superior or management from time to time.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree with a major in law enforcement, criminology or a closely related field.
  • With one to at least three (3) years’ work experience with surveillance, CCTV operations, security or law enforcement.
  • Preferably a Certified Security Professional
  • Knowledge of pertinent national and local laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of forensic science and crime scene investigation.
  • Knowledge in R.A. 5487-AN ACT TO REGULATE THE ORGANIZATION AND OPERATION OF PRIVATE DETECTIVE, WATCHMEN OR SECURITY GUARDS AGENCIES.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Proficient in computer software applications and systems, including, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and Internet-based search and research.
