Chong Hua Hospital is looking to hire a Material Planner who is responsible for supporting material planning activities to ensure the timely availability of materials required for operations and customer demand. S/he assists in monitoring inventory levels, maintaining accurate planning data, and coordinates with Procurement, Storeroom, and other departments regarding material availability and replenishment requirements.Â
S/He supports the implementation of material planning processes in compliance with company policies, local regulatory requirements, and established operational standards. At this level, s/he focuses on routine monitoring, report preparation, data updating, and coordination activities under the guidance of senior planners and immediate supervisors.Â
Additionally, s/he escalates inventory or supply concerns as needed, maintains accurate documentation, and assists in achieving inventory and service level targets.Â
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Plans and organizes relevant activities and schedules to ensure efficient delivery of service in the department and ensures to meet the expectations of internal clients.
Monitors inventory levels, safety stock, reorder points, and material requirements based on approved planning parameters.
Prepares, tracks, and follow ups on purchase requisitions, including Blanket Purchase Orders (BPO), Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI), and consignment items.
- Monitors delivery schedules, stock‑out incidents, and inventory discrepancies, escalating operational risks as needed.
- Coordinates closely with Procurement and Storeroom to address urgent material requirements and stock issues.  Â
Maintains accurate and up to date item master and planning data (e.g., lead times, item status, alternates).
Prepares and supports inventory reports covering stock status, shortages, overstock, variances, and consumption trends.
Gathers and analyzes inventory consumption data to support forecasting and inventory optimization.
Ensures material availability to support operational and customer requirements.
Promptly reports supply related concerns that may affect service levels or operations.
Supports inventory reviews to minimize excess stock and prevent shortages.
Provides analyses on processes, policies and procedures based on research or gathered data.
Participates in the creation of or recommends updates and changes in the policies and procedures to continuously improve the quality of service in the unit/area.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or requested by immediate superior or management from time to time.
Qualifications
- A graduate of bachelor’s degree in any Business-related or Supply Chain-related course.
- With 0 – 3 years of relevant working experience as a material planner.
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus. Â
- Proactive, highly organized, results and detail orientated.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; customer service driven. Skilled in project implementation and other related skills.
- Has analytical, attention to details and numbers, good analytical skills, good RCA skills, good investigation and problem-solving skills, good presentation skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic corporate office software, including Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Effective communication skills. Proficiency in the Visayan dialect and/or Tagalog is required; ability to communicate well in English is an advantage.
