Benevola De Cebu Foundation Inc. is looking to hire a Communications Officer I supports the development and execution of strategic communications to amplify the foundation’s mission and impact. S/he assists in developing compelling content, managing digital platforms, and ensuring consistent branding across all materials. S/he also helps foster media and stakeholder relationships while contributing to internal communications. In addition, s/he supports the production of creative assets and the strengthening of the foundation’s advocacy, visibility, and voice.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Communications
- Assists in drafting and facilitating the implementation of clear, impactful communication strategies to support the foundation’s goals.
- Helps develop compelling content for newsletters, social media, websites, brochures, reports, and campaigns.
- Maintains an active, engaging presence across all digital platforms, aligned with the foundation’s voice and branding.
- Builds and manages a content calendar to ensure timely and consistent messaging.
- Tracks and evaluates communication efforts and helps to identify and adjust strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
- Assists in internal communications to ensure consistent messaging across teams and partners.
Media Engagement
- Helps build and maintain
strong relationships with media and related partners, and/or stakeholders. - Assists in writing and distributing press releases,
media kits, advisories, and event coverage. - Assists in coordinating with media for events, interviews, and speaking opportunities.
Branding & Creative Content
- Upholds and promotes a strong, consistent brand identity across all materials.
- Assists in the design and production of creative
assets (e.g., graphics, videos, presentations). - Helps strengthen visual communications through the use of design tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Creates communication materials that support stakeholder alignment, program promotion, and advocacy.
Qualifications
- A graduate of bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or any related filed.
- With at least three (1) year of relevant work experience preferably in nonprofit or development work in the following areas:
- Content Creation
- Digital Campaigns
- Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills
- Skilled in basic graphic design and multimedia tools (Adobe Suite, Canva, ).
- Good understanding of branding, media relations, and stakeholder
- Highly organized, deadline-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple
- Collaborative, adaptable, and has passion for community development and advocacy work.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic corporate office software, including Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Good communication skills. Proficiency in English and Filipino is required; Visayan dialect is an advantage.
