Chong Hua Hospital is looking to hire a Librarian is responsible for providing library and research services for Chong Hua Hospital and maintenance of the library and its collections. Providing adequate services will ensure that materials are current and accessible, and available to library users when required.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Establishes and implement library and information policies and procedures
- Develops and manage convenient, accessible library and information services.
- Establishes and manage the budget for library and information services, technology and media.
- Develops and manage cost-effective library and information services, technology and media.
- Orders materials and maintain records for payment of invoices.
- Analyzes and evaluate library and information services, technology and media service requirements.
- Prepares reports related to library and information services, technology and media services, resources and activities.
- Performs original cataloguing and classification of print, audio-visual and electronic resources.
- Manages the cataloguing, and organization of library resources by ensuring accurate inventory, efficient retrieval, data entry , cataloguing procedures, maintaining of records, including processing materials for shelving and indexing.
- Maintains records and statistics for both interlibrary loan services and circulation files.
Qualifications
- A graduate of bachelor’s degree in any related course.
- Licensed librarian
- With at least three (3) years of relevant work experience as a librarian and with experience in library set-up.
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
- Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must know library programming standards
- Knowledge in library policies, procedures, methods, ethics and professional standards
- Demonstrated understanding of basic corporate office software, including Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Good communication skills. Proficiency in the Visayan dialect and/or Tagalog is required; ability to communicate well in English is an advantage.
