We are looking to hire a Systems Administrator who is responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems. S/He investigates and analyzes feasibility of systems requirements and develops system specifications, supports internal users, and support teams on various technical issues.
The role coordinates the installation of department specific applications and systems; determines appropriate method for installing applications and systems; resolves matter of significance and implements corrective course of action as needed.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Provides assistance in planning and organizing relevant activities and schedules to ensure efficient delivery of service in the department and ensures to meet the expectations of the internal/ external clients.
Participates in the planning, designing, and implementation of data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems.
Assists the Database Administrator in monitoring database locking issues of systems (i.e. HIS, HRIS, LIS, etc.)
Liaise with programmers and the technical support staff in the installation and configuration of system databases both for test and production servers.
Assists in managing the day to day administration, support, maintenance and monitoring of Microsoft Exchange Server infrastructure. Assists in planning system installations by studying customer requirements, plans and technical specifications; orders and gathers equipment, supplies, materials, and tools, assessing installation site; prepares an installation diagram
Installs, tests, upgrades and configures system files and services to enhance performance.
Utilizes standard corporate tools to record change and problem activities for tracking purposes.
May be assigned in a project that aims to improve specific areas, working independently or with a cross-functional team. May be tasked to make necessary recommendations on performance of team members or cross-functional team member.
Qualifications
Must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunications), Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
Must have three (3) years’ of IT experience working as a System Administrator; with experience in IT-related disciplines, such as, but not limited to:
Network engineering e.g. Cisco switches;
Database administration e.g. Sybase, Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL (SQL profiler proficient)
Storage Technologies e.g. EMC2, HP, NetApp, etc; Cloud services (Azure, AWS, etc)
IP-based phone systems (Asterisk-based desired)
Microsoft technologies: Windows Server 2012, Active Directory Services, DNS, SSCM, SCOM, PowerShell, Exchange Server, Outlook, IIS, SharePoint, Lync, etc.
Virtualization technologies: (VMWare & Hyper-V) to apply to hardware, software, memory, storage, data and network.
Knowledge of Group Policies (testing, creating, implementing and advance troubleshooting) support domain and DC group policy security and audit policy settings.
Understands security standards, with knowledge of information accessibility guidelines and data protection practices.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws as they relate to technology issues
Proactive and highly organized, with strong time management, analytical, and planning skills. Able to deliver high quality tools and applications within set timelines; customer service driven with a problem-resolution focus.
Ability to Identify and Align Technology and Industry Trends.
Must possess a certificate of attendance in any enterprise RDMS technologies (MSSQL, Sybase, Oracle, etc.).
Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
