Chong Hua Hospital is looking to hire a Lean Six Sigma Specialist who creates, conceptualize leads, facilitates, and manages cross-functional and quality improvement teams; provides direction and oversight to team members and stakeholders in relation to the project life cycle and its implementation; responsible in creating and establishing Lean methodologies to ensure process and quality improvements projects are delivered on time and meet the required metrics; deployment and implementation of 5S+1 and employee suggestion programs;

The incumbent also identifies and manages resources required to successfully execute process and quality improvement projects. Serves as a consultant, coach, mentor, and advisor to various division/department leaders, project owners and stakeholders in the application of process and quality improvement systems, tools, and methods. 

S/He champions the over-all lean management deployment across all divisions of Chong Hua Hospital. Constantly evaluates existing processes and works collaboratively with division and department leaders throughout Chong Hua Hospital to demonstrate the values and achieve the vision of the organization through the implementation of business process improvement projects and initiatives. As an agent of change, the Lean Six Sigma Specialist serves as a catalyst to create a culture that continuously strives for operational excellence and embraces the principles of process improvement. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for a range of process improvement and quality improvement activities, which may include planning, performing, and implementing process improvement initiatives for the improvement of operational processes across Chong Hua Hospital.
  • Measures/evaluates existing systems and processes across the organization; identifies gaps and opportunities in existing systems and processes where lean management principles may apply.  
  • Recommends the accurate measurement and identification of problems and baselines that improves key systems and processes across the organization.
  • Drives culture change to instill focus on fact-based management practices, the use of Lean Six Sigma and other problem-solving methodologies.
  • Supports the organization in the achievement of the overall business directives and goals through process development and systems creation in coordination with various leaders and cross functional teams.
  • Facilitates the implementation of lean management programs all throughout the organization as well as the deployment of appropriate lean management tools and techniques in partnership with various leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitates the deployment and implementation of 5S+1 and employee suggestions program.
  • Liaises and coordinates with departments on the status of projects to ensure that projects are identified, prioritized, and implemented in a timely and effective manner. 
  • Recommends and shares best practices across different divisions / departments all throughout the organization.
  • Provides appropriate support to department managers in maintaining implementation of the continuous-improvement initiatives within their respective departments.
  • Conducts regular project selection process together with the division / department heads.
  • Collaborates with the management to identify potential process improvement projects to support the company’s strategic direction. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Nursing, or other clinical discipline required.  Master’s degree is a plus. 
  • A minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in Process Improvement using Lean and Six Sigma required; Healthcare experience is a plus.
  • A certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt practitioner is a plus.
  • With proven applied experience in Practical Problem-Solving Process or project management experience.
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
  • Experienced and passionate process improvement leader and educator (formal or informal), with proven problem-solving experience.
  • Effective communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary groups.
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic corporate office software, including Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in the Visayan dialect and/or Tagalog is required.
