Chong Hua Hospital is looking to hire a Sr. HQRM Supervisor who provides direct supervisory and administrative support to personnel in the department, including staffing levels, workload prioritization, space usage and equipment maintenance. S/he manages the efficient workflow of staff in the department to ensure high quality and efficient delivery of services to internal / external stakeholders. S/He shall also attend court proceedings to represent the hospital in court cases involving subpoena of medical/clinical records.   

  S/He enforces the company’s records and Philhealth claims policy. S/He shall answer official inquiries by correspondence or by telephone regarding information recorded in a patient’s chart.  May be tasked to lead cross-functional team to deliver projects aimed to improve specific area of services of the department.    

Additionally, s/he administers performance improvement plans for staff, participates in CQI activities, assists the medical and hospital staff in their research projects and communicates with the Department Manager with regards to the progress and potential problems in the department. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plans, directs, evaluates, coordinates, and effectively executes work functions relevant to the accurate interpretation of all Philippine Health Insurance (PhilHealth) and Department of Health (DOH) programs in alignment with CHH’s policies and processes.  
  • Attends court proceedings and represents the hospital in court cases involving subpoena of medical/clinical records;
  • Plans, organizes, implements and evaluates all medical records services for the organization.
  • Ensures the maintenance of the patient’s right to privacy and confidentiality;
  • Identifies and formulates appropriate plans, tasks timelines, responsibilities, and expected results.
  • Implements the formulated plans to achieve the expected results within identified timelines.
  • Assists Medical/Hospital Staff in research projects.
  • Answers inquiries regarding information recorded in the patient’s charts through correspondence or by telephone.
  • Prepares and analyses pertinent data as required by his/her immediate superior or the management.
  • Recommends changes and updates in processes, policies, procedures or standards in the department to improve quality of service.
  • Recommends, participates, and Ensures implementation of processes and policies to continuously improve the quality of service in the department.
  • Leads or directs the team or creates functional team to identify performance gaps and formulate strategic interventions to continuously improve on identified areas for improvement, when required.
  • Assists in the development and placement of safety strategies and continuous quality improvement of service initiatives in the department.
  • Oversees the daily operations of the area/section to ensure efficient and effective management of services;
  • Supervises all unit personnel; accomplishes all human resource objectives.
  • May be tasked to conduct performance appraisal of members of the cross-functional team or other team members.
  • Attends meeting with relevance to MRS and participates in Operational Excellence Division’s activities; Keeps abreast of current medical records practices.
  • Must have a college degree, units in Anatomy, Physiology, and Accounting is an advantage; 
  • With at least five (5) years of relevant work experience and with experience in a supervisorial role.
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks; results oriented.
  • Possesses leadership qualities to aid in building, maintaining, and elevating relationships with Chong Hua Hospital internal and external stakeholders and drive the achievement of business strategies and results.
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic corporate office software, including Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Good communication skills. Proficiency in the Visayan dialect and/or Tagalog is required; ability to communicate well in English is an advantage.
