Chong Hua Hospital is looking to hire a dynamic Cardiac Perfusionist who is responsible in operating extracorporeal circulation and autotransfusion equipment during any medical situation where it is necessary to support or temporarily replace a
patient’s circulatory or respiratory function.
S/he is familiar with a variety of equipment used to perform extracorporeal circulation
functions and consults with the attending physician to determine the appropriate equipment and techniques to be used.
Additionally, s/he performs other duties as directed by the immediate superior and
coordinates with the appropriate individuals in the conduct of his/her responsibilities.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operates extracorporeal equipment to support circulation during
    surgical procedures.
  • Administers appropriate drugs as required during procedures under the direction of a physician.
  • Monitors patient status throughout the procedure and provides support during critical or emergency situations.
  • Administers blood products and medications and manages patient body temperature during surgery.
  • May be assigned to projects aimed at improving cardiovascular services, either independently or with a team.
  • Participates in quality and safety improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Graduate of any medical related course. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology/Nurse is an advantage.
  • With 0 – 3 years of relevant working experience/training.
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
  • Possesses current certificates for Basic Life Support (BLS) Training, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), VeinT Training; must also be certified according to the required training matrix of the unit / area of assignment.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good patient and customer relations skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic corporate office software, including Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Effective communication skills. Proficiency in the Visayan dialect and/or Tagalog is required; ability to communicate well in English is an advantage.
