Chong Hua Hospital Strengthens Support for Cebuano Farmers and Fisherfolk Through Sustainable Sourcing Initiatives
As part of its commitment to community partnership and sustainable healthcare operations, Chong Hua Hospital joined the recent initiative led by the Office of the Provincial Agriculture (OPA) and the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) to help strengthen market linkages between Cebu’s farmers, fisherfolk, and institutional buyers.
During the two-day Pre-Business-to-Business (B2B) Meeting and Orientation, Sr. Dietitian Natasha Juliette Yap represented the hospital in sharing its dietary standards and sourcing requirements—highlighting how local producers can directly supply quality, fresh, and nutritious ingredients that meet Chong Hua’s specifications for both its Fuente and Mandaue sites.
This initiative forms part of Chong Hua Hospital’s ongoing effort to pursue sustainable and inclusive sourcing practices, ensuring that the hospital’s dietary needs not only support patient wellness but also empower local communities.
Through continuous collaboration with key stakeholders, Chong Hua Hospital remains steadfast in its goal to make healthcare and sustainability work hand in hand—nurturing both people and the communities we serve.
