Chong Hua Hospital and Benevola de Cebu Foundation Share Compassion and Donations to Abtanan sa Kaluoy

In honor of Sr. Sto. Niño, officers and staff of Chong Hua Hospital and Benevola de Cebu Foundation, Inc. (BDCFI) organized a heartfelt outreach program for the children and elderly of Abtanan sa Kalooy (ASK) on November 22, 2025, in Mabolo, Cebu City.

More than 30 children and 7 elderly residents enjoyed a morning of interactive activities, prizes, and shared celebration. Games, a lively Zumba session, and Christmas karaoke brought warmth and laughter to the beneficiaries, who engaged closely with Chong Hua Hospital and BDCFI volunteers.

Fr. Patricio “Pat” Ornopia, priest-in-charge of ASK, expressed his deep gratitude to Chong Hua Hospital and BDCFI for selecting the center as this year’s outreach beneficiary. He noted that the initiative, and the donations accompanying it, will meaningfully support ASK’s daily operations and the needs of its residents.

As part of the program, Chong Hua Hospital and BDCFI turned over seven (7) hospital beds, along with bedsheets, mattresses, ceiling fans, portable wardrobes, and essential goods. Elderly residents received individual medicine supplies and hygiene packs, while children received school bags and educational materials.

In her message of support, Dr. Joanne Cosin, Chief Operations Officer of Chong Hua Hospital, reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to community service and compassionate healthcare. She emphasized Chong Hua Hospital’s openness to extend further support to similar programs.

BDCFI Executive Director Wilhelm Wade Eusores, in his closing remarks, thanked the teams who made the activity possible. He also shared BDCFI’s eagerness to build on its relationship with ASK through more collaborative activities in the months ahead.

Beyond the donations, the outreach allowed Chong Hua Hospital officers and personnel to personally connect with the children and elderly at Abtanan sa Kalooy—reflecting the kindness, compassion, and generosity inspired by the devotion to Sr. Sto. Niño.
