Chong Hua Hospitals Now Offer PhilHealth-Covered Open-Heart Surgeries

Patients who need coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery can now access PhilHealth-covered open-heart surgeries at Chong Hua Hospitals. 

Through the PhilHealth CABG Z-Benefit Package, eligible members who are recommended for CABG surgery may receive financial support for this life-saving procedure, subject to PhilHealth eligibility and pre-authorization requirements. 

The benefit package includes coverage for the following:

CABG Surgery 

• Standard Risk: ₱660,000
• Expanded Risk: ₱960,000
• Cardiac Rehabilitation (post-surgery, six sessions): ₱54,000 

The PhilHealth CABG Z Benefit covers a large portion of the procedure cost, however, patients may still have out-of-pocket expenses. This is the copayment, which covers the share of non-basic accommodation fee, specialist fees, or any additional services needed during confinement.

The patient is highly encouraged to check with the hospital’s billing department in advance to better understand this benefit.

With two hospital locations offering this service, processes may vary, but dedicated coordinators are available to assist patients.
