Benevola De Cebu Foundation Inc. is looking to hire a Licensed Civil Engineer to be the Project In-Charge and will be responsible for planning, supervising, and managing construction, renovation, and maintenance projects for hotel and resort facilities, ensuring that works are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with design, safety, and quality standards.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage construction, renovation, and improvement projects.
- Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and workers to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to plans and specifications.
- Ensure projects comply with approved designs, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, suppliers, and top management regarding project requirements and progress.
- Prepare project schedules, work plans, and progress reports.
- Monitor project costs, materials, and manpower utilization.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure safety standards are implemented.
- Review and approve construction drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Address technical issues and resolve on-site construction concerns promptly.
- Ensure timely completion of projects and proper turnover to operations or engineering team.
- Prepare documentation such as daily logs, accomplishment reports, and punch lists.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- With at least 2–3 years experience as Project Engineer / Project In-Charge in construction in vertical or horizontal construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management.
- Familiar with local building codes, safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Good leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Can work under pressure and meet deadlines.
