Chong Hua Hospital Launches “TABANG SUGBUANON” Relief Donation Drive for Northern Cebu Families

In response to the devastating earthquake that struck the northern part of Cebu last September 30, 2025, Chong Hua Hospital, together with its parent organization Asociación Benevola de Cebu, Chong Hua Medical Mall, and the Benevola de Cebu Foundation, has mobilized its staff, doctors, and leaders to extend support to affected families and communities.

With compassion at the heart of its mission, the hospital has launched TABANG SUGBUANON, a Relief Donation Drive that embodies the spirit of bayanihan deeply rooted in every Cebuano heart—responding with unity, empathy, and care in times of need.

Through this initiative, Chong Hua and its partners reaffirm their collective commitment to bring healing and hope beyond the hospital walls, reaching out to those who need it most.

Providing Urgent Relief to Northern Cebu

The recent earthquake left many households displaced and in urgent need of basic necessities. To help address these needs, Chong Hua Hospital and its partners under TABANG SUGBUANON are preparing and distributing vital relief goods such as:

• Tents for temporary shelter
• Water containers to ensure access to safe drinking water
• Family Care Kits to help families maintain cleanliness, comfort, and dignity during displacement
• Other essential supplies to sustain daily living

This ongoing effort reflects the hospital’s enduring mission — to care not only within its facilities, but also for the greater community, especially in moments of hardship and uncertainty.
