Chong Hua Hospital Strengthens Its Green Footprint Through Mangrove Conservation
Demonstrating a steadfast commitment to environmental stewardship, Chong Hua Hospital’s Support Group spearheaded a Mangrove Planting and Growing Activity on July 4, 2026, at the Mangrove Eco-Park and Protected Area (MEPPA) in Sitio Tawsan, Barangay Guinsay, Danao City.
The initiative united a diverse team of employees from across the hospital—including Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, General Services, Hospital Quality Records Management, and Safety and Quality Assurance. Together, these departments traded their daily routines for a hands-on, collective effort to restore and shield the region’s vital coastal ecosystems.
Organized in close partnership with the Danao City Government and the City Agricultural Services Office, the project goes beyond merely planting saplings; it focuses on long-term nurturing. Mangroves serve as a critical firsthand defense for the environment—shielding coastlines from erosion, safeguarding marine biodiversity, and fortifying the community against climate change.
In addition to breathing new life into the local ecosystem, the muddy but rewarding fieldwork cultivated deeper camaraderie and a shared sense of purpose among the staff. The event perfectly mirrors Chong Hua Hospital’s core values of sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
By stepping outside hospital walls to heal the planet, Chong Hua Hospital continues to champion environmental awareness, proving that collective action today builds a more resilient and sustainable tomorrow.
