Chong Hua Hospital Heart Institute Celebrates Anniversary with a Community Medical Mission
In celebration of its 23rd anniversary, the Chong Hua Hospital Heart Institute conducted a medical mission on March 21, 2026, at Barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. The activity reflects its continued effort to bring care closer to the community and promote better heart health for everyone.
The event started at 8:00 AM and welcomed residents for a morning of free health services and learning activities. Aside from screenings, participants also joined Zumba, attended a lay forum on heart health, and learned hands-only CPR.
Free services included ECG, blood sugar screening, cholesterol screening, and uric acid testing. These helped community members check their health and become more aware of possible health risks early on.
One of the highlights of the event was the hands-only CPR training, where participants learned simple but important steps that can help save lives during emergencies. The lay forum also gave helpful and easy-to-understand information about taking care of the heart.
Through this medical mission, the Heart Institute marked its 10th year by reaching out beyond the hospital and connecting directly with the community. It is a reminder that care is not only given inside hospital walls, but also shared with people where they are.
As it continues its journey, the Chong Hua Hospital Heart Institute remains committed to promoting heart health, raising awareness, and serving more communities in the years ahead.
