BDCFI Supports Women Across Communities in Cebu During Women’s Month

In celebration of Women’s Month, Benevola de Cebu Foundation Inc. (BDCFI) carried out a series of outreach and healthcare initiatives in Cebu to support women across different stages of life, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive and community-centered care.

Supporting Women Across All Stages of Life

Throughout the month, BDCFI provided essential goods, hygiene kits, and medicines to institutions caring for women, extending meaningful support to both young and elderly beneficiaries.

One of the outreach activities was conducted at My Bonita Home for Girls Inc. in San Jose, Cebu City, where 31 female residents aged 10 to 21 received donations and support. The activity created a safe and encouraging space for young women under residential care.

BDCFI also reached senior women through an outreach at Seven Sisters of Servants of Mary Elderly Home Inc. in Mohon, Talisay City, benefitting 41 residents with food items and essential medicines to support their daily needs and well-being.

Expanding Access to Women’s Healthcare

As part of its continued efforts to promote women’s health, BDCFI partnered with JCI Zugbuana for the “Healthy Her” Medical Mission in Pahina Central, Cebu City. The initiative provided free services including OB-GYN consultations, prenatal check-ups, cervical cancer screening, HIV screening, and basic legal assistance.

BDCFI supported the program by providing medicines, ensuring that beneficiaries had access to necessary care beyond consultation.

Through these initiatives, BDCFI continues to champion the health, dignity, and empowerment of women, reflecting its commitment to inclusive and community-centered care.
