Chong Hua Hospital Joins Earth Hour 2026 in Support of a Healthier Planet

Chong Hua Hospital once again joins the global initiative of Earth Hour 2026, reaffirming its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable healthcare practices.

On Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, Chong Hua Hospital encourages employees, staff, doctors, patients, and visitors across its facilities to take part in this meaningful initiative by supporting the hospital-wide call to “Switch Off & Give an Hour.”

As part of the initiative, selected non-essential lights and equipment will be turned off during Earth Hour, including unused office lights and screens, decorative and ambient lighting, non-critical corridor lights, and selected hospital signage and logo lighting. At the same time, the hospital will continue to keep essential systems operational to ensure safety and uninterrupted patient care. These include patient monitors and medical equipment, emergency exit and safety lighting, critical care areas, and essential workstations.

Through this collective action, Chong Hua Hospital highlights the important connection between environmental responsibility and human well-being. As a healthcare institution, the hospital recognizes that caring for people also means caring for the planet.

By participating in Earth Hour, Chong Hua Hospital stands in unity with communities around the world in raising awareness on climate action and inspiring simple yet meaningful steps toward a more sustainable future.
