Benevola de Cebu Foundation Inc. (BDCFI), in partnership with Chong Hua Medical Mall, successfully rolled out the pilot implementation of its Community Vaccination Project in Cebu City and Mandaue City, providing free flu vaccinations and health education to 100 beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

The vaccination activities were conducted in Brgy. Capitol Site, Cebu City and Brgy. Guizo, Mandaue City, with 50 beneficiaries from each barangay. Beneficiaries included senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), adults, and other priority recipients of preventive healthcare services.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis pilot implementation reflects our commitment to making preventive healthcare accessible to communities. Through partnerships such as this, we hope to help more individuals and families receive services that contribute to healthier and more resilient communities,\u201d said Wilhelm Wade A. Eusores, Executive Director of BDCFI.<\/p>\n

As part of the project, beneficiaries attended a Vaccination Lay Forum, where they learned about the importance of immunization, flu prevention, and maintaining overall health and wellness. Prior to the administration of the vaccines, doctors from Chong Hua Hospital provided onsite consultations to assess the health status and suitability of each participant for vaccination.<\/p>\n

\u201cPrevention remains one of the most effective ways to protect community health. We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside BDCFI in bringing vaccination services and health education closer to the people who need them,\u201d said Ma. Lourdes Orenza Jr., General Manager of Chong Hua Medical Mall.<\/p>\n

Community leaders and beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the initiative, noting the importance of bringing healthcare services closer to residents and helping improve access to preventive care. They likewise shared their hope that similar health programs will continue to benefit more members of their communities.<\/p>\n

The activity forms part of BDCFI\u2019s Resource Extension for Accessible Community Health (R.E.A.C.H.) Program, which seeks to improve access to quality healthcare services, promote disease prevention, and support the health and well-being of underserved communities across Cebu.<\/p>\n

Through initiatives such as the Community Vaccination Project, BDCFI and its partners continue to bring preventive healthcare services closer to the communities they serve.<\/p>\n
